The people who worked on it worked hard.
They had a plan.
It appears sturdy.
It looks like they knew what they were doing.
They were experts.
They started the project where many might never have begun.
All good and noble things.....
So what's the problem
They didn't finish.
So, even though it was done well and they used their skills and talents and time, it is worthless because they didn't finish.
Three important words -- It is finished.
Jesus said those three important words on the cross (John 19:30).
Noah started and finished the ark (and it took a century to build -- that is perseverance).
"This Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did." Genesis 6:22
Solomon was a wise man and king. He finished what he started.
"So (Solomon) built the house and finished it" 1 Kings 6:9a
There are so many things in life that don't happen because we don't finish what we started.
Today, finish what you start.
Today, finish that project.
Today, start anew something you began but then quit.
It isn't too late to finish.
There's a lot to be said for just finishing something because so many never do.
